I used to be a member about a year ago, and when I tried to log in again, you'd changed locations and the system wouldn't let me in again under my old name. So, I created a new profile and added a number to my name so you'd still maybe remember me. A lot has been going on in the last year, getting over my herniated disc, going through a lot of ups and downs, adding a new furry kid to the family (yes, I'll post pics!), and looking at a major move. My son is now 5 years old and going to preschool. He had no problems making the change to a school situation, but Mom had really bad seperation anxiety! Thank goodness for my furry kids who never leave and always give support! Anyhow, I'm happy to have found this community again so I can hear all about your furry kids and share what mine have been up to. Talk again soon! TyTykitty (Chris)

Posts: 3 12/17/07 6:14 PM	Hi TwoCats, My newest addition to the family can be seen in my avatar. Her name is Peaches, and she's now 7 months old. She's a wonderful kitten, full of love and playfulness! My other two cats had a hard time getting used to her since they are both getting on in years, but they're working it out. My two oldest kitties are still hanging in there. Mickey is now 17 years old, and is mostly friendly with the kitten. I had him shaved again, and he's actually quite grateful for it. He's been sleeping on the blanket perch in my third bedroom next to the PC with the kitten ever since. He still seems healthy enough, even though he's an elder now. Perhaps he might stick around for another year or two if we're lucky. My other kitty, TyTy, is doing all right now. Earlier in the year, we almost lost her due to some unknown illness, but she pulled through and is doing much better now. We found out she has hyperthyroid disease and the vet put her on some meds that seem to be doing the trick for her. She seems healthier now and is even occassionally playing with the new kitten. I worry when the kitten jumps on her for a wrestling match, but she holds her own. It's the growling and hissing that tends to unnerve me a little and I keep careful watch to make sure things don't get too rough. We'll be moving to my mom's house in about a month, and she has a Siamese female over 12. Sigh. More cats getting used to each other. I know it will work out if we just give them time. It will be a huge change for all of us at first. I'll be sure to keep the cats in our room at first, and gradually let them venture out into the house. I'm sure my kitten will adapt the quickest. Anyhow, that's the news for now. Good to be back talking about our fur-kids! I love Tabby Cats! TyTykitty (Chris)
